I joined my first gym in 2007. I got bored after a few years and felt I needed a change. That's when my fitness journey crossed paths with Coach Teddie. She was coaching kickboxing at the time so I started taking classes. I loved the challenge kickboxing offered. That was my first experience in a workout class setting. I loved it! After a few years the kickboxing gym closed so I then went on to join another gym that offered TRX, HIIT and bootcamp style workouts. I started feeling like I needed more of a challenge and that's when I heard about CrossFit. I joined CrossFit Calaveras when it opened in 2019 and I loved everything about it! I finally felt I was getting the challenge I needed. I spent a few years learning the movements, getting comfortable with the barbell and focusing on technique. In 2022 I wanted to learn even more so I got my Level 1 Certification. Now I am coaching at CrossFit Calaveras where I get to share what I have learned and help others achieve their goals! Watching others get that first pull-up, first box jump, PR a lift and all the other firsts is so exciting! Nothing is more rewarding than watching others getting healthier and fitter!
